Mariah Carey Is Now Officially Allowed To "Eat Meals"

I'm sorry, but WTF?!? Mariah Carey is just now being allowed to "eat meals" again. She's been all over the place with her weight loss success story these days, and in Elle Magazine she recently gave a quote on her trainer Patricia that gives us some more insight into how she managed trim her way down a few sizes.
“She's about the size of my arm—that's her body,” she says, wrapping her hand around her left bicep. “But it's all muscle. It's not like she's emaciated. She's happy with me. She lets me eat meals now.”
Awww, Mimi, now that you're a size 2 we're going to let you eat dinner today! Starvation diets aren't my idea of a good time, but I guess it worked for Mariah -- well, that and extreme photoshopping.

How Audrina Patridge Stays Slim

Metabolism, metabolism, metabolism...that, my friends, is how Audrina Patridge manages to stay so damn skinny! She says that in high school she would chug glasses of milk to try and slow down her metabolism.
And of course, now that she's a little older she has to work harder to maintain her figure. She says that for her, it's about the portion control."I order what I want when I’m out, but I don’t eat all of it."
She also fits in a workout 5 days a week, exercising for an hour each time. Here's what Audrina had to say about her fitness routine."When I’m sitting in front of the TV, I lift five-pound weights or do squats. And I wear heels when I vacuum because it works my calves and my butt."
Audrina also does laps in her backyard pool and hikes in Runyon Canyon.
So let's sum it all up: Audrina Patridge has good genes on her side, she's extremely active and she eats in moderation. Sounds like a plan for success to me!

Britney Spears, Tara Reid And Other Celebrity Bikini Bodies

Honest to god, stories like this make me sick. Britney Spears gets the largest photo on the National Enquirer cover story this week of their 55 best and worst bikini bodies, with an arrow pointing straight to her stomach....which is so blatantly photoshopped into a gut, it's like they're not even trying to hide it. Poor Tara Reid has been the victim of bad plastic surgery, which she's been very public about, but I still think it looks like they helped her out by retouching her abs to make them look even worse.
And why put Queen Latifah on that cover? She's big, she's beautiful and she's happy that way. The Queen has lost weight, she's staying healthy, let's just give her kudos for that instead of pointing out that she's still bigger than the average size zero starlet (but she's probably about the same size as the average American).
Then let's just talk about why this even makes news. I love the good old, "How I lost 20 pounds," story as much as the next weight loss blogger. But, I do NOT love scrutinizing celebrities, putting their flaws under a microscope and then exaggerating every single one of them.
Oh and surprise, surprise, there's only one man on the cover.

Holly Madison Has A Great Body

This is something I should probably NEVER admit to in public, but I'm going to anyways. I LOVE the show The Girls of the Playboy Mansion. So much that I'll watch the same episode three times in one week if it's on. And the best part about it is that every time I watch it, I get inspired to work out. Holly Madison, Kendra Wilkinson and Bridget Marquardt all have banging bodies!
I don't particularly want giant inflatable boobs, but I can't say I would mind having Kendra's ridiculously flat abs, or Holly's nicely toned legs.
Granted, Hef is basically paying them to maintain themselves...and they have every tool at their disposal, private gyms and personal chefs in the kitchen, but they're still good motivation for me!

Britney Spears To Represent Bally Fitness

Nice! Britney Spears is reported to be on the verge of scoring a contract to be the face of Bally Total Fitness. She's in negotiations. It all started because her manager, Larry Rudolph, is friends with Bally's marketing director.
Currently Brit is working out at the club between 1 and 3 times a day. The club is letting her workout for free at the moment. She's also using two of their top personal trainers and is seeing their nutritionist, who has her on 5-6 quality meals a day. That means no Fanta and Cheetos. Poor Britney!
I hope this happens. I'm enjoying seeing train wreck Britney slowly revert back into Britney who has it all together and wants to be a good mom to her little boys. I think exercising can really people get into a good frame of mind. After all, healthy body helps you have a healthy mind and soul, right?

Sex and the City Ladies Were Never Asked To Lose Weight

In Hollywood, where asking an already says 0 actress to lose a few pounds is the norm, one hit show's director broke the mold. The women of Sex and the City said they were never asked to lose weight during the duration of the show.
Kristin Davis said,
"Michael Patrick King, our director, has never told us to lose weight. We've been in a nice situation where we've been appreciated for ourselves. All four of us — none of us are extreme dieters. If you ask Sarah Jessica that question, she'll say the same thing. I'm not interested in going into any insane thing like that."
She also said that she knows, "a lot of people who are starving, and that's a crazy thing to do."
The gorgeous actress added,
"I'm never going to be the thinnest actress in town. And I'm fine with that."
Props to Kristin for having a fantastic body image! Here are Kim Cattrall and Sarah Jessica Parker. Ironically enough, the only picture I couldn't find was Cynthia Nixon, even though she was the one being honored at the The Point Foundation awards, which is where they all were.

Fergie Not Pregnant, Drinks Vinegar to Stay Thin

Fergie is a BEAST. And I mean that in the best possible way! Seriously, she looked amazingly insane at the Idol Gives Back event yesterday. I'm pretty sure she wore that outfit and then did Matrix gymnastics on the stage just to tell the world, "I'm not pregnant, bitches!"
Anyways, in case you're wondering how you too can get a Fergalicious body, here's the secret. EW.
“I do vinegar shots. It has to be organic apple cider, unfiltered. Two tablespoons. For some reason I’ve noticed a difference on my stomach.”
Supposedly doing vinegar shots stops cravings. Has anyone ever tried this? If there's any scientific fact behind this showing it's more than just a silly celebrity idea, I'd be totally open to it. I actually really like vinegar, although I don't know about shots of it.

Kristen Bell and Hayden Panettiere Workout Together

Two heads are better than one, and one workout buddy is better than none. The paparazzi grabbed a few shots of Hayden Panettiere and her Heroe's co-star, Kristen Bell, coming back from a workout together.
Do you have a workout buddy? I like having someone that will call me and say, "Hey, let's meet at the gym." But, I don't necessarily like to do the actual exercises together. And back in the day when I was running outside (now I'm a treadmill kind of girl), I flew solo. If I'm running I'd definitely rather be alone, because I don't want to slow anyone down, or have anyone else slowing me down. I'm comfortable at my own rhythm. What about you?

Kimberly Locke Talks About Her 40 pounds weight loss
Last week Kimberly Locke was a guest on American Idol and she talked about her weight loss. Here are just a few of the comments that she made on how it feels to be 40 pounds smaller.
When she saw a picture of herself, she said,"Was I really that big? That’s not me."
I think a lot of people who have lost weight can probably identify with that feeling. Kimberly also talked about the here and now,
"I love the way I look, I love the way I feel. I never thought I could be more confident. It’s a good time for me."
Congrats to Kimberly for her huge weight loss! Now, here's to maintaining :)
